Free Calls

I think one of the best VOIP packages around at the moment is Skype. If you go to www.skype.com you can download the software for free, basically you can use the software as a messenger program to those friends of yours who have the same software downloads, and you can call them free - as long as they have Skype downloaded too. It's a really great piece of software, we use it at work to call our offices internationally and it has really cut down on our phone costs. You can even put credit on your account so you can make calls to mobiles and landline phones at a cheaper rate that stanard landline providers! Let me know if you try it :)

you could try project gizmo, it is free for certain countries, and u download the software , create and account and than u are able to make pc to phone calls, but there is a limit i think , 5 mins a day or so , check it out at http://www.gizmoproject.com/ PS : the software supports all platforms so no worries there

I use "Skype" to call all my friends around the world. It is free as long as you don't have a metered Internet connection. I think it is the best available. You can download the program from skype.com. I do not know how you can call a telephone line free of charge. But with skype you can pay a subscription and call any phone in the world for the cost of a local call.
