they say that good comedians are also good drama actors. what do you think?

i believe this is true. one example is robin williams. he is very good in patch adams even in bicentennial man. also jim carrey and will smith(*i consider him a comedian*). will smith was very good in the in pursuit of happiness.

I've heard that it is harder to do comedy than drama.You can learn how to act, but you can't learn how to be funny.

yep, that's true..everybody can learn how to cry on screen but to make people laugh, that takes skills....

I definately think this is true, depending on the actor of course. Another good example is Kevin Kline. As hyterical as he is in A Fish Called Wanda, he is also a great dramatic answer. Back in high school I had a chance to see a video of him playing Hamlet. It was really quite good. I like to believe that being able to do both drama and comedy is a sign of someone truly being a really gifted actor or actress.
