Will 2007 become the Summer of Doom?

Last July was bad enough, a heat storm in Central Valley of Caifornia that scalded the population and wiped out thousands of dairy cattle. Temperatures zoomed up beyond 112 degrees for five straight days, and almost the entire month featured highs of 100 or better. But then the storm slowly moved eastward and the entire nation was nearly cooked into oblivion. Now look at this January, the warmest on record. Alaska and Siberia are melting. Yes, we've had some abberrant winter storms in the Rockies and back East, but that cold extreme seems to be the other end of the heat extreme. This summer could be horrific. It might be a good idea to evacuate some parts of the California Central Valley or people and animals could be roasted to death. Just beware, and have an escape plan.
