OK i dont understand NASCAR at all, what is the fun of watching cars with governors on them go around in a circle 500 times? is it just me or doesn't anybody else wonder how it has some many fans? what do you guys think?

Don't forget the restrictor plates! LOL And Daytona is a 200 lap track that equals 500 miles. . . I just like fast cars. Been watching Nascar for over a decade, but I really like Indy Car too. My absolute favorite is NHRA though.

You never asked who was a fan. As I am a big fan of nascar. I may not know all the statics and stuff. But I can guarentee my husband does. We have so much stuff of nascar in our house. That people think it is unhealthy obsession of ours......Go Dale and Tony!!

I can't get into seeing cars go around an oval track 200 times or so, but I do like the Indy 500 and other open-wheel racing. But I prefer car racing on courses that are more than just ovals. I'd like to see some Formula 1 racing on TV, or some races like the France to Dakar rally.

I happen to enjoy a good race. Nascar and the Daytona 500 being two of them. It is no different than guys trying to race there cars from stoplight to stop light. But with more rules, more cars, more money at stake and more road to travel.

that's like asking football fans what's big deal about the superbowl or baseball fans about the world series
