Oh yes I find it almost a necesity to sneak food in, the prices are so crazy. I do tend to buy the snacks for my daughter because she loves popcorn, but for me I sneak in candy because I am not a popcorn fan, although I still do buy my pop at the movie theatre because I LOVE the tub o pop they give LOL.

Guilty! I empty my purse except for my wallet. I take a granola bar or whatever I would like to have for a snack. I even take a canned drink! I always did that when my children were younger too. There is no way that I am paying what they want for snacks. I often take individually wrapped candies too..such as mints. My kids learned early in life the fine art of coughing to cover up the sound the drink makes when being opened..or waiting unitl a lot of laughter was occuring!

We'll sneak in sometimes if we have time to go pick some up. WE do buy our soda there though. But you can't sneak in popcorn that taste as good as movie popcorn. mmmm But normally we do take in food. Sometimes I don't even hide it.

I'll buy the pop and popcorn there, something about the movie theater popcorn is so good. However for anything else like candy I'll bring it in my purse. They want way too much for a little bit of candy. Besides for the price to get in and what they get from me in the way of pop and popcorn they've made enough. If they had the prices at semi-normal levels I think they'd sell more.

oh they would sell more if the prices were normal. i mean if you went to a store and saw a cup of unpopped popcorn for 7.00 would you buy it?? HECK NO...but that is what you buy when you go to movies. As for soda...my mom asked a store once how they can sell fountain drinks so cheap...the manager said it only costs about 3 cents for 1 drink because the syrup and water mix. So when theaters charge 4.00 they are making a HUGE profit!

I usually buy it their but never get candy, don't really enjoy it during movies. But if I go with the rest of the family we usually get a big tub, and some large sodas. It's expensive but we haven't really been going out too much lately. So it's something special

Me and my friends do all the time. We usually make a stop at the Meijers across the street to stock up on candy (usually the gummy worms and stuff like that), grab a drink, and stuff it al in our jackets before heading over to the theatres. I think we've been really obvious a few times but the kids working don't want to make a big deal out of it. But personally I'd suggest it to anyone who wants to save some money. Is it against the rules? Yes. But I don't really see anything horribly wrong with doing it.

I object not only to the high prices, but to the unhealthyness of the food. We went back a year or two ago and bought some movie theater popcorn - after eating the light popcorn for so ling, it tasted awful. I understand the theaters want to make a profit, but what they charge for popcorn, candy and drinks is ridiculous. Yes, I bring in popcorn and drinks. We could not afford it if we didn't or sometimes we go out to eat first. A decent meal for 2 people costs about the same as a sanck in a therater.

I sneak food in all the time. :) I stop at the store on the way and grab a couple of candy bars or fruit snacks or something for the kids. I do buy the drinks there, but always just one large and we share. Popcorn, of course, if I get some I buy there, but we get the smallest and share it, too.

I'd bring something to eat if I remembered, but I usually don't. And there's no way I'd spend two or three dollars on a candy bar or five or six dollars for popcorn.

I bring my own snacks too. The movies are already outrageously priced, I am not paying a 300% markup for junk food. I do like to get the real movie popcorn sometimes though. It just smells SOOOO good!

It depends which movie theater I choose to go to. If it's an AMC or a big national chain theater, I usually stop at Walgreen's or a local grocery store to "stock up" on snacks for the movie. However, if it's a locally-owned theater or a dollar theater, I usually buy my concessions there in order to help support them, as theaters get a majority (if not all) of their profit from concession sales.

I don't eat during movies, as it's costly nowadays, it's better to eat from outside after watching the movie ...
