I usually just go about my life and whenever I have a question about something, I catalog it in my head and when I sit down at my computer at the end of the day, I go back and think about those questions to post them. I also tend to wonder if people do the same things as I do, and those are the questions I like to post the most. I just want to make sure if some of the things I do are normal or if Im a little on the quirky side. Good question..thanks for the topic!

I'm usually wondering about something and that's what I'll post as a discussion, something I really want an answer on. I don't start a lot of discussions here, but sometimes when I'm doing the housework a thought will pop into my head and I'll think...hmm must post that on mylot and see if I can get the answer, lol. And more often than not, I get an answer.

Sometimes other discussions will trigger a thought for another one for me. A lot of times, I will go read online news to get ideas. I've even looked for unusual or weird news sites to get ideas. I have a hard time coming up with anything new and worthwhile, so I don't start too many discussions.

I think you are watching the news at the same time as I am because I see your posts just as I am hearing them on the news on the TV behind me. LOL! You always beat me to it! I have a heck of a time thinking up discussions. I never know what to start a discussion on. I see so many discussions that are of no interest to me or ask stupid questions that it just makes it all the more harder for me to come up with something interesting. If I am going through something that I would like advice on, then I will post. I was upset when my TV station blacked out during the last few minutes of Ghost Whisperer but then I thought, "Hey, people on myLot will tell me what happened." Sure enough I got an answer and very quickly. I know it is not a discussion that will bring lots of answers but I got the information I needed. Sometimes I really struggle with discussion topics here.

Sometimes life events will trigger ideas for discussions, and sometimes thoughts will just come to me out of nowhere. If I can't think of any ideas for discussions, I just read and respond to other discussions and sometimes another discussion will get me thinking about something else.

Most of the time it is something that is going on with me, but I find answering discussions brings other things to mind. Sometimes I will be driving down the street and something comes to me I like to keep a pen and paper handy now!
