Posting or Responsing?

Well it has been a Very Long Time for me At MyLot. Since i Log in EveryDay for 1 or 2 Hour and Keep Responding to People's Topic. I Thought Creating a Topic is the Best. But i Get Very Less Response Unlike Others. Then i Started Responding to Others Topic. Then My Rating and Star Increased. But it consumes too much time and Work. So What do u Think is it Good to Create a Topic or is it Responding to Topic Which Increases our Ratings And Star?

Good if you can make it both of them, try to post some quality topics in one day (5-10 topics if you can), after that you use your time to response some topics that fix with your interest it will make you easy to give a response. Your earning will decrease soon if you can do that.

I have been on mylot for just over a month now and I have started less than 10 discussions. However, I respond to other's discussions, always attempting to make two responses per discussion. I have uploaded around ten pics and I am not complaining about the low earnings. But the last time I saw my star it was a six so I am okay with that. Getting few responses sucks bad enough, but to receive no interest whatsoever sucks worse. That's why I haven't started too many discussions. It's a lot like rejection. Besides, I enjoy being nosey and just reading discussions more than responding and making the change on here. I believe responding to others' topics and rating the discussions and responses is what helps you increase you star number more than just starting them.

I used to post topics but as what you have said it gets frustrating at times when no one responded to your topics, especially if you know that you have posted a great topic. I am now engaged in responding since i find it easy and convinient. I guess posting topics and responding to one have their own advantages and disadvantages, you have to determine which activity will make you excel the most.

In my opinion, both creating topics and responding to others increases rating and earnings as well. You just have to make quality responses and discussions that catches other people's interest. What I normally do is read discussions and respond to those I like. In that way, I'm able to freely express my opinion. Although, it's really time consuming because I usually open about 5 topics because I make a response. But it's all worth it. I really enjoy being here.

I little advice for you: try doing longer replies and try writing more interesting thing or you will earn not very much! You just registered on myLot..so trust me, and write more than one line! Of course never copy other's messages or you will get banned and you will loose all your earnings! Try to reply as many discussion you can (and you find interesting or useful)!

It really happens often that one gets very few or zero responses. Wat I feel is instead of just starting more and more discussions create few which are exceptionally good and keep responding to the discussions.

I personally stopped posting topics because no one would answer the serious topics so I have only been posting answers in the last few months but your right its very time consuming but hardly seems worth it somedays.

Responding I find it easier as you just have to answer with your capabilities, but to create a new topic it takes a lots of energy, very rarely I find a subject on which i start a discussion.

if you got nice article in mind post it, but if not, then try to respond to discussions, just be patient, and most of all write at least 3 or 4 sentences long. i know it pays off.

i think it will help increasing your rating and star when responsing. if you want to post, just think of something that is more relevant and people will response into it. in that way it will help increasing your star or rating.

I also have bad experiences before. I post and got few responses or no response at all. It is so frustrating. You made topics but no one like it. So later I also start responding to topics or discussions of other people. I make many friends also. So my star increase and my earnings also increased, especially if someone rated your response with a + and you got the best response. And add photos for it has a pay also.

I prefer to reply to other's discussions because it's faster and let you earn really fast. myLot is time consuming!! Anyway if you have something good to say, start a new discussion and hope someone will be interested into. For example today I started a discussion about an asteroid that could impact earth! I tought it was one of my "best-seller" LOL and I was receiving many replies....instead none seems to be interested in a possible end of the world.....:-( Here is the link, check it out! http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/791873.aspx Don't worry about your star rating ...it will increase if you keep being gentle with all you reply and not offend anyone here! Why do you think that creating a new topic doesn't increase our rating? I think it would increase it too because others can rate you even when you start a new discussion!

I try to start just a couple of new discussions each day - any more than that they would just get buried under each other and so not answered and When we all have lots of friends I dont think anyone could go through all their friends discussions and answer them all. Also when you start discussions you have to keep going back to them to answer your replies, rate everyone and pick a best responce, so thats a lot of time consuming work which we dont get paid for! So I like to respond and reply a lot more than start new discussions. I like to make between 20 and 40 replies a day - depending on what time i have to go online But there are days when I only do a couple, so it would be impossable to answer everyones posts, but I do do my best and try to reply to everyone at least once a week. You can do nothing that will Increase your Ratings And Star as it is how people rate your discussions with the + or - which will make this go higher or lower.

I am also wondering where we earn more as people say that if we start a topic we earn more but i don't think it like that we earn more by responding. People don't respond to my topics like others topics so i might not be true but i think responding to others topic is much better

Put in quality responses about many topics eg. politics, religion, social issues, personal, etc. and post about those things and you should be set.

I am new here and I can say I have started 3 discussions 1 received several replies but 2 others have only had one or two. I think for someone new it is best to respond and watch which topics seem to get the most responses. Then you have a better idea as to what people are talking about, or enjoy talking about.
