Thanks, Erik! I'll be sticking with legal, but iTunes seemed a little expensive to me. Though, I suppose if you want a full album, it does work out better than buying the CD

It has really nice integration with the ipod too. Then there's myspace.com which Warren Ellis has hyped. Lots of unsigned bands, but obviously not big mainstream ones. Mperia.com uses bitpass, also unsigned and india bands. Wikipedia has an entry with musicstores http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_music_store most seem to use subscription though and I don't know which works with an ipod
