do you remember the movies where there are 2 actors in the lead, or there is at least a sidekick for the lead? i just remember now Around the World in 80 Days. Jackie Chan kinda comes off as a sidekick there, right?
there's Men in Black, with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.. Rush Hour, with Chris Rock and Jackie Chan..
What's memorable, however, are the martial arts movies of Jackie Chan with Samo Hung..

Tango and Cash, Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone,
Leathel Weapon Mel Gibson Danny Glover
Front Page Jack Lemmon Walter Mathau
There are others as well, those are buddy movies rather than sidekick movies, hmm the side kick movies would take some thought.

I was always partial to the Lethal Weapon flicks with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. These movies combined good action with well written humor. And these two actors complimented each other rather well. Joe Pesci also was a great addition to the series.

I forgot Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. I just saw them in Gunfight At The O.K. Corral. They also starred in Tough Guys in 1986.

Tango and Cash. That is one movie that comes right to mind when I was reading your post. Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone are cops that have to team up together to clear their names. They were great together.
Now Twins and Junior also come to mind. Very unusual pairing with Arnold S (not going to attempt to spell his last name) and Danny Devito. Those two are such opposites and putting them together was ingenius.
