wedding now is a big event for couples. not like before that you only need to have the basics. in this time of creativity and innovations, there are a lot of ideas that the groom and (especially the) bride would love to have on their special day, like the on-the-spot-AVP, expensive souvenirs for the guest, wedding coordinators and the like, just to make the wedding almost perfect! how about you, aside from the basics, what else did you get for your wedding? and barely how much did you spend? i think we spent more than P250k ($5,000) on our wedding last 2004. =) it was fun and well worth it, no regrets at all.

We were way over budget during my wedding celebration. At first we just set our minds to have a budget of P150,000 ($3000). But as the wedding date approaches we're already in a whirlwind of tasks to do, things to consider, me always wanting more to add in our wedding. We completely maxed out or budget and had to get a loan of P50,000 ($1000) just to complete all the preparations. Preparing a wedding is a rally hard thing so better start preparing 6months to 1 year in advance.

You will be suprised as to how much couples nowadays are willing to spend for their weddings. From the weddings I have coordinated, it can actually cost an arm and a leg already. If let's say you are having it in a hotel, you are definitely going to spend not less than Php500,000 (USD 10,500). Soaring budgets even reach Php1.5M (USD32,000) or even more. But for most filipino couples based abroad, they would still want to get married back here at home cause it's still cheaper than having it overseas. Their USD20,000 would go a long way here and would be considered an extravagant wedding already. I wouldn't divulge how much we spent during our wedding last 2002 cause comparing to the costs of weddings right now, I realized, we actually have spent a hefty amount as well. But no single regrets at all. I still love looking at our photos and watching our wedding video!

About P350K. But we had 400+ invited guests to an eight course lauriat reception! My relatives gave me cash gifts since I'm Chinese, though, and that really helped a lot. And we had a lot of fun. So it was worth it in the end.

we spent about P220K ($4400) all in all for our wedding last october 2004. We had a total of 200 guests which was original planned to be 150 only. We initially alloted 150K ($3000) during the planning. Eventually nice-to-haves added up and hence the additional costs. but like most of you, whenever i hear praises from my guests it was worth it :)

We got married in 2002 and spent a grand total of $3000 on our wedding. (USD) My dress cost me a whopping $212, and we had 40 people come to our wedding. My family and I made our centerpieces, wedding favors, wedding program and invitations. I would not change ANYTHING about my wedding. We got married at the same place as my parents and it was our closest friends and family. It was perfect! (My dad, riding instructor and preacher all met me at the same bar! ;-))

sometimes it's surprising to know how much a couple can and would spend on thier wedding day, you're right, because of the many additonal ideas couple now a days allot a huge sum to make thier wedding extra beautiful and memorable which i think is not wrong,it's every girls dream anyway to have the most beautiful and perfect wedding in the world. I got married last April 2006 and we spent less than a hundred thousand pesos but as I have said many times before it doesn't make me feel less happier during our wedding day, for me-I still have the most wonderful wedding not because of the amount of money you're spending but because you're marrying the one you love.

We went a little over our initial budget but it was all soooo worth it! :) I think to have the sort of wedding that we had would have been just average in terms of having a wedding in the city.

We spent 75 total. 50 for the marriage license and 25 to pay the pastor who preformed it. We wanted something simple and so that is what we did.

We spent somewhere between $3000 - $4000 (I'm not sure on the total). We were married in 2006 and had about 250 in attendance.

I think we spent about $2,500. I think it is because we have a lot of friends help us with our wedding stuffs. They help us with the wedding souvenirs, the food, the photographer, and the wedding invitation. The food is good, the place is nice. But the more valuable is that I have my best friends be with me in my wedding day.
