Disney movies--Ever notice this?

Have you ever noticed that in mst Disney movies someone dies...like a parent or something. I know it makes for good plot but why does someone have to die? I mean Cinderella- the father died, Snow White- both parents died Lion King- his dad died

Now that I think about this you are absolutly right. It is always someone important in the movie who has to die. I would think that since these movies are for kids they would not have anyone die.
