When Saddam was hung? I was at the library When Anna Nicole died? My sistertold me thru an IM when my grandfather died- i remember i was at wal mart. i remember what all i bought too- buttons and a safri material.. What big events do have in your life that you will remember where you were?

Yes, Steve Irwin was from Australia. As for 9/11, I can remember that I was in 2nd period chemistry class, but I didn't see the actual footage till I got to homeroom. Some things you never forget.

The only major event I remember where I was was 9/11. This was one of the few nights my at the time boyfriend and I stayed at our own houses. This is what was on the alarm when I woke up to go to school. I was confused so I turned on the television and saw what was happening. I called my school to make sure we were still going to have class and they said yes. After school I went to work.

Hey Elizabeth, nice topic you have picked it up! Well there are really some events I can rember! Above all that 9/11 event, it was evening in India, I was in mis of my tution class and one of my Buddy called me up and just said "World War III is going to start!" I was Puzzled a lot, then he cleared about an Air Attack on WTC twin towers in New York! Still that days memory is fresh in my mind! But the most I rember is the day when India conducted Three consequtive Nuclear Test in Pokhran, Rajasthan. It was 11th May 1998, around 14.00 hrs IST. My Vacation were going on and I was having a nap! (I was a kid that time) But then too I cant forget it any how! I realized afterward How important it was for India.

The only big event I remember is 9/11, I was sitting in a cell phone store waiting to be helped as I was supposed to be going to Bolivia the next day for a People's Global Action activist conference. Suddenly, this big TV came to life (I swear to God, there was no TV in the store before at least that I noticed and I'm pretty observant usually) and bits of Manhattan were blowing away and their were flames anywhere. I remember thinking, "What sick ### made a film like this? It'll scare people like War of the Worlds?!" Then I saw Peter Jennings. Then I knew it must be true. Then I called my mom and told her about it directly from the store.

I was at work on 9/11. I walked into the breakroom just after the first plane hit. Everyone who was already there from the previous break was glued to the TV. I watched as the second plane hit. It was unreal, like watching bad special effects. I knew what I was seeing but was so stunned that I had to turn to the person standing beside me and ask her what had happened!

Stand Tall - This was taken years before 9/11 was no more.
When 9/11 took place I was working as a private home health aid and was no where near the catastrophe.

I was asleep on 9/11 until the bedside phone woke me up and my Aunt in NYC was screaming in my ear - "its the end of the world - they're bombing us!" (tho she didnt know it yet, she lost her son, Jerry who worked for the FDNY, that day). As the Murrah bldg was bombed in OK City, OK around 9am, I was in my home office in Kansas typing an article for a national Islamic publication when my fax machine and telephone started ringing together with the news. I faxed the Wash DC based magazine, one I write for in Atlanta, and 2 Islamic-based political organizations in Wash DC the news and I was on the road to OKC as a freelance journalist within an hour. Turns out I was the first to report the news to those organizations, who sent respresentatives to OKC soon after. I was in the PanAM "Princess of the Sea" jet from Frankfurt, Germany to Fort Dix, NJ flying over England just as Prince Charles and Princess Diane were marrying. We watched the satellite viewing of it live on the jet's monitors. That same jet plane was blown up over Lockerbee, Scotland a few years later. I was waiting in a Alabama hospital clinic's lobby in front of their stereo system listening to the radio when the news interrupted about the Challenger blowing up after lift off.

I was on my third year at the university when I heard about the 9/11 event.. My group and I were about to meet and discuss some issues regarding our policy proposal for our Political Science subject when one of us just blurted out that the world Trade Center was hit by a plane and it was all over the news. I do not have a habit of watching TV or reading the paper so I know nothing.. It just struck me, and I asked myself "whoa, is this the start of WWIII?" LOL.

I definitely remember 9/11 and what I was doing. My daughter was pregnant and due to have a C-section that morning. I was getting ready to leave for the hospital, and my husband turned on the tv news and ... you know the rest. My grandson, Christian, is a 9/11 baby. There is no way I will EVER forget the day he was born!

It's funny how these big events impact you, no matter how old you are at the time-- when Princess Diana passed, I was ten years old, but I remember being at the fireplace at my camp. During 9/11, I was in eighth grade, and I was in Tech Ed as the Junior High School.

It is interesting if you can remember where you were for certain events. During 911 I was teaching and a colleague of mine came in to tell me that 'the world is getting blown up.' And to that response, I was in a total state of confusion, not knowing what on earth she meant by that. I remember that we turned on the TV and watched the devastation, and all I could think was, maybe the world is getting blown up.

I was in my home(INDIA) on the sep-11 attack on the worldtrade centers in United States.I was shocked to see an aeroplane rushing into the tower.Initially I was surprised I was not able to know what was happening. But when I saw the news I came to know that the plane had crashed into the tower. It was really a very sad situation. We had our brother in U.S. this incident made us worried about my brother but when our brother called to us it took all our tentions away. But it was a really bad incident as it took thousands of people.

for 9-11 I was at school just getting to third period I think. When Sadaam was hung I am pretty sure I was sleeping I am not sure about many others tho I dnt consider Anna Nicole dying a BIG event I do wonder tho if maybe her and her son were poisoned so people could fight over her money
