What is your fave Old Wive's Tale?

I have been told some crazy old wive's tales such as:
If you have acne when pregnant you are having a boy.
If you cut your have on a full moon it will grow faster.
Trimming your hair makes it grow faster.
When you shave your hair grows back thicker.
Cat's can steal the breath from a baby.
If your palm itches it mean you are getting money.
Anyone else have some to add?

Oh yeah... some old wive's tales are pretty strange... But the weirdest tale that I've heard (and probably the most disgusting) is this: you'll go crazy if you take a bath while having your period. This is really grooosss... not to mention very unhygienic. =/

Old Wives tales, these are good.
If your left hand is itchy you are giving money if the right is itchy you are getting money.
If you see a penny on the ground that is heads up pick it up, if it's tails, keep walking down the trail.
If you pick the penny up give it away you'll have luck the rest of the day.
