Especially during these cold winter months. Bean, Barley and Lentil Soup 1/2 cup of red beans (cooked) 1/2 cup Great Northern Beans (cooked) 1/2 cup Lentils (cooked) 1 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup diced onion 1/2 cup diced celery 1/4 cup diced carrot 1/4 tsp. ground thyme 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Add water or broth and diced onion, celery, and carrot to a medium pan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and cover to simmer till vegetables are tender. Stir in beans and seasonings. Salt and Pepper to taste.
