Do you have a best friend?

I used to have a best friend, rachael, but since i left school and moved on to college and subsiquently university, she has hardly been in touch. so now i dont even consider her a friend as the last time i saw her was about 2 years ago now. she keeps saying she wants to meet my boyfriend "too check hes good enough for me" but now me and my boyfriend have been together for 21 months now...and i just think what right does she have to dictacte that she wants to meet William to see if he is good enough for me, surely i am the judge of that?
Now my best friend is William, as all my spare time is spent on him and seeing him...none of my school friends keep in touch, but most of them i wouldnt want to be seen with them now...but i was wondering what and who everyone elses best friends were?

I am sorry that u didnt have much of your school friends still with you..its almost 4 years i left my schoo..but still we all keep in touch through gmail group networks..we have a network with the email ids of all the people and throght that we are still in contact..ofcourse i spend most of my time with my boyfriend..but still try to meet my friends atleast once in a month..

cool, so im not alone in having my partner as my best friend then...just when i tell people when they ask me, they give me a confused and funny look :S

I am very lucky about my friends I have alot of friends but some are very selected friends who share my all problems daily programs and I also share them on daily basis. We do all work with the suggestion of each other.

I've friends come and go over the years, so was really close and other purely users and only wanted something back. money, advise, etc.
My wife pretty much my friend.
Although i have some great friends online and the odd few off. i hardly see any which was from around here as most have moved away or gotten selfish.
But yes i do.
I'm thankful for the friends i have and i'd do anything for those who respect that i do whats best for them etc.

i seem to be in the same situation as you then...ive had friends leave and then not keep in touch, sounds alittle like someone else's best friend really...being unreliable and not getting in touch.
...quiet a few people seem too have their partner as their best friends though
