No.But i know some volunteers.and know what they are doing. In fact, they do almost anything, sew, clean, scrub, paint, cook, repair things, record books for the blind, amuse sick children in hospitals,or escort senior citizens who do not want to go out alone. They give their blood, work in libraries and schools.they are deserve special and admiration.

I volunteered in a nursing home for about 6years after my mother passed away, I used to keep company, read or whatever to the ones that never had visitors, is very rewarding and you are very appreciated by these lovely people.

When I was in high school, I volunteered at my local nursing home doing crafts and singing songs and playing bingo with the residents. Then when I got older I volunteered for my local ambulance service. I was a dispatcher, an assistant and an EMT(emergency medical technician). It didn't pay any money but it was very rewarding.

maybe my volunteer service is not really useful for needy people or helping the community, but...i volunteered at an annual film festival. i did different jobs...putting up posters, distributing pamphlets about the movies, collecting clippings from newspapers, greeting visitors during our parties....
actually it was one of my favorite jobs :) really fun!
