Heck yes, Alaska is safe, clean, and nice. Then again you're far from the rest of the world. I would live there in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Washington State is nice, too....

The Piney Woods of East Texas. Just watch out for the coyotes. You can just go down there and stake out a plot of land, build a house, raise your kids. Start a ranch or something. There's a lot of good pastureland. And it's relatively isolated; not many people around unless you want there to be. Altogether, it's really nice. Peaceful and calm, too.
