Not all of the people that claim to be christians are true followers of Christ. True christians are learning to be like Him. They are truly sorry for thier sins and confess them often and are supposed to stop those sins that they are aware of. Many of those claiming to be christians have no idea what a true christian is and they give true christians a bad name with thier life style. I am sorry that you have met those with bad behaviour.

I agree with the responses that everyone has made. But let me elaborate a little more. When a person is first saved they are made alive in Christ. They are as saved as they will ever be. Becoming a Christian (Christ-like) is a life long process. When you are born again you start over from the beginning. You learn and grow through studying the word of God. The Bible is our textbook. We are to renew our minds daily in God's word. Now, just as a child needs patience in learning some things, so too does a child of God. That is why it is so important not to judge others. The Bible says that men look on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. Even though God hates sin, he is able to see on the inside and know whether or not we really want to please him. Another thing is that we are constantly warring against our sin nature and fighting temptation and the devil is constantly coming against us attempting to get us to sin. Where as someone who does not believe in God is not going to have that problem. You know, they say that if the devil does not come against you, it usually means you are going in the same direction with him.

That is a very good question. Unfortunately, this is the impression that a lot of people get, especially about Christianity. It makes me very upset when people who say they are Christians go and don't care about what they're doing, whether it's something that God would want them to do or not. It sets a bad picture for non-Christians about Christianity is really about. And it's not just Christianity. I sincerely believe that there are hypocrites in every religion. To understand what the religion is about, without being influenced by what the people who claim that religion are doing, read the holy book (in the Christian's case, the Holy Bible). The holy book is the basis of that religion, and it's teachings are what the followers of that religion are supposed to be doing, not whatever they really are doing. As for your Christian friends with bad behaviour and your atheist friends with good behaviour, I don't know what to say. Personally, I am a Christian. I believe that there's no other way that the world could have possibly come into being without divine interference, which points to a god of some kind. Some people say that science and the evolution theory (Darwin) and creationism are incompatible, but that's not true; quite a few scientists are looking at where we've come in our knowledge of the world around us and within us and have reached the conclusion that everything's way too complex for it to have been evolution. So there has to be a god. And the Bible is historically and archaeologically accurate; in fact, they're finding new things everyday that point to the Bible and its accuracy.

I am sorry that you have had this bad experience with christian people. In my opinion they are probably just using the title of Christian because they go to church and participate in activities etc of the church but that doesn't make them a christian. I am a christian and I try to treat everyone with love and respect despite their own beliefs. I had a friend who was a lesbian before she moved and I didn't try to change her because she knew how I believed and that I didn't believe it was right but I didn't treat her like crap or anything. I also had several friends who weren't christians and I still got along great with them. I think that some people think that they are better than others and that is just wrong. I wish that you could be around me and my family and my church family because I think that we would show you that not all "Christians" are like that. I hope this answers your question if not just pm me and I will try to clarify more.

Let me tell you that fact of the life. You will get what you want, you will see what you want to see I will rather say stop search for bad chirstian or bad people, try to be nice to everone one and in a week you will find the difference. I'm not telling you all these based on any religion, see bad people will be there and you will also find good people too...what matters is how you looking. So change you style and that will change your life 180 degree. God Bless.

Jesus says He looked beyond our faults and saw our needs. He also says for us to bear one anothers' burdens, we that are strong, so we could fulfill the law of Christ. Romans 15:1-3 Gal 6:2-4 Becoming a Christian doesn't automatically make us perfect. We have to grow in Christ each day. And we do that by dying to our flesh daily.
