I have a 5 month old that quickly grew out of his carrier and I was wondering if anyone knew of one that I could get for him now that he is bigger. Or do I just have to carry him and break my backLOL.

Will go over this again. Time to let him crawl, play with the other kids, watch a kid show, start slow and slowly move away and reward him for being good. A new favorite toy or something. There is no reason for you to continually carry this new person. He needs to learn to be capable and fun loving. If you just won't listen there here a few sites: zolowear.com childcarrier.com mamasmilk.com Hope that these are a help if you just have to have one!!

just because you are going to carry the baby sometimes doesnt mean you cant do all that too. i mean really its about balance, i dont think she was suggesting she was going to carry him every moment of every day. besides the effect on her son she would obviously break her back too.

My little one outgrew his at about 2 months, and wasn't quite big enough for a stroller, but he was too heavy for me to carry around all day.. but I didn't have a choice.. If my hubby was with me. i'd pawn him off.. now he's big enough for the stroller though.. and I prefer that. He's almost 20 pounds now.. and I couldn't imagine carrying him in a carrier.. I hope you find one that works for you though.

What kind of carrier were you using? You can use a ring sling or a mei tai. My personal fav was a fleece pouch from http://kangarookorner.com/ Also, check out this website http://www.wearyourbaby.org/ this can help you pick the perfect carrier for you and your son. :)

well my son grew out of his carrier when he was just three months old. i suppose we could have used it a little while longer but it was a tight situation. i found some nice ones on www.toughtraveler.com but they are a little expensive. They do carry up to fifty pounds though. If I had invested in one my now two year old would still fit in it. Hope that helps.

There are diffirent kinds of carriers. Try to shop for adjustable carriers so that you can still use them for several months, even if your baby will grow faster you will adjust your carrier.
