is old friend indeed a good friend

i had an old friend in school. he was a nice friend and good in sports. he was weak in maths and had got a scholarship due to sports. he was found cheating in maths and resticated. he left for a other school and also lost his scholarship. he was lost for the time. after four years we have met again as he has taken a college in my city.
what do u think i should do. i do not know why their is a gap between not because we don't want to be friendsagain or have any bad feelings against each other.
how do i end this gap or what do i do?

Hi, It's been a year since you post this. So how the condition right now? have you had any contact with him? I think hang around at a cofeshop and chit-chat with him it's not a bad idea. Catch the old times

Then we should talk about it. What he does doesn't effect you on anything so tell your friend you don't need the gap no mere because you really wanna be a friend.
