I have recently been hired as an internet representative for a car dealership. Part of my responsibility is to manage their car auctions on eBay Motors. Although not necessarily a novice with eBay and have enough theoretical knowledge of the whole process, I'm still interested in any advice or tips from people who have actually experienced selling cars on eBay Motors whether for themselves or for others?
I'm really interested in sales that have crossed state lines and how you handled the whole deal. Thank you in advance for anyone who response.

I have sold cars on Ebay and the most important thing is to put in a disclaimer that the winning bidder is responsible for shipping. They have all sorts of companies that will ship across state. Let them arrange their own shipping.

Thank you for best response. I wont recommend a shipping company because I dont really know if any of them are good or not. In my case the buyer has always come and picked up the car. But if the buyer wanted it shipped they would have to pick their own. That way if they were not happy with it they would not be able to blame me. Ebay has a bunch of them on their site I believe.
I wanted to mention it is also important you mention any little flaw in the car that you know of. Even if it is something really simple like the lighter doesnt work or there is a small scratch..Take a picture of it. You can get your pictured hosted free . Good Luck
