My cat is expecting and bless her little heart she is so big. I just have no clue when those kittens are coming. I have no clue when she got pregnant. She is mainly an indoor cat so I have been keeping an eye on her but other then her tummy getting bigger and her hips spreading wider I have no clue when we can expect the kittens. Help!!!!

It's usually 62 Days after conception. She will start to show about 21 days. Her nipples will enlarge around that time!

I was talking to my daughters last night and we remember before we left for Xmas holiday we talked about her being pregnant but we can't remember why we thought so. We think that was when she got outside by accident. So if that is the case we are on day 60 or so.

depending on the cat you have, they are usually pregnant for about two to three months. It's a good idea to give her kitten food while she is pregnant and nursing, so that her kittens will get the right vitamins while growing. Also make sure she has a warm bed with lots of blankets for when she decides to go into labour. It is a good idea to take her to the vet for an ultrasound to make sure she is developing properly, and also to check the kittens once they are born, they will need a set of shots at two weeks old.

Thanks I had never thought about the kitten food. I will go out today and buy some for her.

honestly, you'll just have to wait...you'll see her beginning to fix a bed when she's ready. Just be sure she has a place to go that's quiet, feels safe to her, and away from the normal daily activities. And please send me a message and post some pix when the precious little ones come along!

I will take pics and put them on here. As for the place she feels safe I have tried a number of places and have a bed all made up but she wants nothing to do with that. She perfers to lay in the tub or on the bathroom counter. Both places scare me because I am worried they will fall off the counter and the tub doesn't have a drain stopper on it. I keep telling everyone to put the plug in the tub when they are finished but needless to say they don't do it.

How exciting! Did you take her to the Vet? I'm sure that they could tell you how close she is. I have always had male cats, and they're neutered, so I haven't been through this. Are you planning on keeping the kittens? I would be a bad one to have a cat with kittens, because I know that I would fall in love with them all and have a hard time giving any of them up! I think that kittens are even cuter than puppies, although I know that many would disagree with me!

No I haven't taken her to the vet because the closest vet is a ways away. I will though if she doesn't have them soon because I want her to be ok. Yes I fall in love with kittens too but we aren't keeping any of them. My daughter is getting married and her future husband has never had his own pet so he has already been promised the pick of the litter. They call weekly to see how the momma cat is doing.
