I thought it was wild! I loved it. Even though everyone in the group I watched it with lost a driver, Kasey still stayed in!!! I still think Martin should have had it. They kept saying if there was a caution again they would stop it... they lied! lol It was a great finish though...

OK, I've had time to cool off and I'm still just as upset at NASCAR. Plain and simple RCR and DEI are "company" cars. Every time in the past, when the cars start sliding, the yellow comes out. NASCAR hesitated to see if Harvick could pull off the pass. They abandoned safety to give Childress a win in the 500. I just don't know what they think they owe that guy. I've been watching NASCAR since 1976 and the "Good ol' Boy Network" is still alive and well.

I have now talked to a few people about it and most are like me.. I'm not mad harvick won, I'm not mad they raced to the finish, I'm upset because they kept saying over and over if there was another caution they'd send out the yellow flag.. they didn't and I think they should have.

That is a good question, they are lucky they didn't need a crew quicker, I'm sure there would have been more of a fuss then!

Exactly. It's inconsistent with the rules. Ever since they instituted the quick yellow to keep people from racing to the flag, all in the interest of getting safety crews out there quicker I might add, they have thrown the flag super quick. Except for this one. Still photos clearly show Martin in the lead with cars going every which direction behind them. What if one of those drivers had needed a safety crew quicker than they got?

My husband watched it yesterday. I only saw the end. While I don't watch racing, I though the end was good. I know nothing about racing, but felt bad for the Army car guy. You could tell during the interview he was real pissed about the caution not going up. Talk about a photo finish.

the army guy is mark martin, he retired 2 years ago, came back last year to help his old owner and came back again this year to help another owner get the army team off the ground, I belive this race was his last change to win a daytona 500, as he never has.
