bottled water a waste of money?

The water out our house is not what you would want to drink. I have heard that the filters you attach to the nozzles don't work as well as the claim, and that lots of particles still get into the drinking water. I have been buying bottled water because I am so paranoid about this. Is this a waste of my money?

Some think it's better than you tap water, but I seen a report many bottle water companies are using just that. So since my tap water had done me fine all these years, I will save a penny here and there and just drink that.

SOme of those bottled waters are supposed to be decent, but I'm not sure which ones. Anyway, I never travel without bottled water. I get sick whenever I drink more than a glassful of tapwater in Southern California. I'm not sure why; there's just something in it my body doesn't like.
