When shopping for food do you always check the label?

That check could save your life.Some hypermarkets do mistakes (or that's what they call them sometimes) and place out of valid products...or products that may harm your health.For example if a country doesn't have a proper legislation against some harmful ingredients (all those "E") or they are not approved etc they will add them on the shelves because it's not illegal.Or it's just you who's making the eroor...for example if you have a weight problem you should check what can do you good and what can not,based on the number on callories etc.I don't usually check that label unless it's a new store...and yes it happend to me to buy in that manner expired products from stores that i trusted.

I always check the expiration dates on dairy items etc and i always have to check the label for ingredients too becuae my daughter is allergic to corn and soy products and my husband is allergic to mushrooms (severely) so reading labels has become a habit for me over the past few yrs..

I have to, I am on a low carb diet so I have to make sure what I am buying doesn't have a ton of carbs per serving. Than as you said, I check the date. Hubby doesn't and he had brought in rotten chicken to soured milk. YUCK!
