It was in a word, awesome! I am sorry that the "brass" part of "Bunji and Brass" was a bit limited (shame on those who "said" they would be there and didn't show up!), but I certainly didn't miss it! I was too busy enjoying Roy Cape, all the other guest artists and Bunji's performances with Asylum. I wish he sang all of his new songs, but I am satisfied that he put on a terrific show for his fans! All the guest artists were supremely delightful, especially his beautiful wife Fay-Ann, although I steered clear when she started encouraging the crowd and the flag people to "move"! I am afraid of those people! All in all, it was a must-see show and I congratulate Bunji for pulling it off against all the odds. My only "issue" if you could call it that is I wish I didn't have to wait so late to see the main event. There's a ridiculous trend of having headline performers taking the stage at 1 or 2am in the morning. I suppose for fetes, they can remain like that, but I think for a concert, we shouldn't have to wait that long for the main act to come on. I guess though for this concert, it really was unavoidable because it was not just Bunji in concert, but Bunji and Brass so I don't think there was anything they could have done to change that. But I hope for his next concert, if he doesn't merge with Brass again (*fingers crossed*) that the timing of his appearance in stage will be much earlier. King Bunji still reigns!
