I bought an old football helmet at a yardsale for 25 cents and threw it up on eBay with a Buy It Now of $19.95. I went out to my local antiques store where one of the dealers had several cleaner helmets for the same price and began chatting him up. I got home about an hour later (total time away - 2 hours) and it was SOLD! In less than 30 minutes! I was so excited...plus I had made quite a lot for such a short time! Share your stories!

i found a few things at my husband's grandmas garage sale. Of course, she just let us HAVE them, she was selling them for .50-1.00 the first being an "aggravation" game frome the 1970's. I sold that for $17 on ebay. A WWII first aid kit, i sold it for $32. I thought that that one was pretty obvious. And also a partial parachute from WWII I sold for close to $50. I would like to spend more time going around to yard sales and such, but it can be very time consuming (especially to find the right deals at yard sales) ESPECIALLY when I have 2 kids in tow!!

The fastest sale was quite recent actually! I work with a powerseller so there's always loads going on but last week we put up a 'Blackberry' mobile phone (cellphone) It was quite old and there were others identical on there for similar or less money, we had put it up on auction and on 'buy it now' and it went within 30 minutes of it being posted! I think the last record was about an hour!

Yours must have had an extra feature or the buyer felt more comfortable with a power seller's reputation, but I'm happy for you! Congratulations!

Just about a month ago I listed my childrens nintendo 64 and games on ebay. I did put a buy it now price and ten minutes after I had listed it, it sold. I was so happy and could not believe that someone had actually paid the buy it now price as I did list it as used. The person who bought it was very happy with the purchase that he had made and was even happier when he got the item.

That's awesome! It's amazing how quickly some of the original systems sell for now--they're collector's items faster than you'd think!

I sold a runescape account in 3 or 4 hours. Sadly, they've banned selling online game accounts, so I can't do that again.

What is runescape--an RPG? My daughter's heard of it, but I never have. Why can't they be sold online any more?
