Saw on Teletext today that Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler are going to be touring as The Jam without Paul Weller (he's apparently been invited to join them but hasn't commented), and performing a mix of old classics & new material. Just read that they're replacing Paul with a new singer, and adding a keyboardist. http://www.nme.com/news/the-jam/26537 The Jam aren't my favourite band, but I like some their songs, especally Down In The Tube Station At Midnight, and some of their lyrics are still relevent today, but should they have even considered doing this without the main singer/songwriter/figurehead of the band.

latest I've heard (on Ch4 Teletext) is that they're going to be using the name From The Jam, Bruce foxton is going to be some of the vocals along with a session singer, and they're planning to record a new album.
