How do you see the opulence of the Church?

What is the purpose of their opulence? Is it used only to help the others? If yes, why are they still rich? Are the rich priests honouring the real values of the Church? Let's be clear: these questions have nothing to do with being faithful and a believer.

Oh i think that the church is just a way to keep people in line, and the bible is just a way to control them. I think that god has much better things to do with his or her time than get mad at us for cussing ect :P I think that god is something that humans dont even have the ability to comprehend.
