What anime/manga would you consider romantic?

I know most would prefer funny or action packed anime/manga. But I know out there, there's lots of romantic scenes. It doesn' matter if it's the main theme or not, which anime or manga would you consider the most romantic and why? Back in my early indulges in anime/manga, I'd say it's Sailormoon (obviously). Next would be Daughter of the Nile (Ouke no Monshou). What do you think?

I would choose Fushigi Yuugi or Curios Play. This anime series is filled with combination of romance and action but not excluding cute chibis (super deformed expressions). I guess this is one of the all time favourite all romantic people out there who loves anime. This has demonstrated the power of love and how friends can make you stronger. Comradery was also emphasized here, how they sacrificed their lives for their loves ones and friends. Sacrifice is very crucial here because Mizkake and the other seven star warriors have given their lives to complete their missions and defend their friends. I have seen the last part of this series, the OVA, I really like the ending because they managed to return to life, especially those seven stars warriors. They have reunited and lived happily. Thats really cool!

Yup I agree with you Fushigi Yuugi is romantic. Not to mention sometimes funny too. Miaka loves food as much as she loves Tamahome. Lol! I liked the ending. =)

I love anime/manga. Ranma is good and so was Sailor Moon. A manga I like to read is one called Sensual Phrase. It's about an all male rock band and the lead singer falls in love with this girl he hooked up to right songs for the group. It is hot and heavey. Merow!

Ai Yori Aoshi is a good pick. So is Ranma 1/2. Sensual Phrase does sound romantic. I'll go on a lookout for it.

Another romantic story is an anime I've been watching on and off when I get the money to rent it would be Ai Yori Asohi. It's really good. Try out the first volume and see what you think.

Passion - Standing in the flames to save the one you love.
I like animes that have a really intriguing story line, lots of mystery, action, a very brooding and aloof lead male and a somewhat lost leading lady. (By lost I don't mean can't find a way home, I mean something deeper than that). I'm not into direct romance, I like the animes that have romance, but don't just come out and throw it at you. I want to see it build and I want some tension, some mystery, things like that. I probably just confused everyone in here... Sorry all, thought I'd try and explain.

Don't worry about getting me confused I understand what you're saying perfectly. =) True, tension in some stories are very interesting. I recalled shouting and sighing along as the characters in an anime went through frustating moments.lol.

I like "Midori no Hibi", it's both romantic (not really) and sometimes funny. The story is about a girl (Midori) who couldn't say his true feeling to a boy (Seiji) who actually is struggling to find his love.

Hmm Some Anime I can think of is Ouran Host Club, UFO Baby, his and her circumstances, Ranma 1/2, Vision of Escaflowne the Movie...Well some are focused on it while some have romance as a side story .

True, romance mixed with humor may be the best side of a story. Some like Fullmetal Panic Fumoffu are so much fun to watch. tq

Yup, it wouldn't be much fun watching if it's not half as funny as how romantic it is. =D

Oh that's a dreamer. ;) I agree that Tamahome is super hot. If he isn't Miaka and Yui won't be in such tight ends with each other. If you were in the story too I guess I'll have to add your name along in the list. ;)

I think.....u gotta watch/read SKIP BEAT!. its really cute and its funny from time to time. its brand new and the chapters are still ongoing. and the anime is only up to like....episode 19 and still ongoing. but so far....i have looked into Ai Hime, Ouran High School Host Club, marmalade boy, Inuyasha, Fushigi Yuugi, Earl and Fairy, Special A, and Fruits Basket. and so much more, but now my favorite is SKIP BEAT! by far, and then comes Fruits Basket. but ya. look into all of those they are really good. if you wanna see an anime/manga with a girl that turns from weak to a really strong headded woman, skip beat! is the one to look into. AND theres comedy and romance. i love it!
