I'm looking for ideas for activities in New York City and Brooklyn that many people may not know about. I participated in a scavenger hunt in Central Park once that was a lot of fun and I'm looking for other unique activities. Any suggestions of things you've done or heard about?

try the brooklyn museum. they do something special every 1st sat of the month. its over in park slpe/prospect heights area. also around there are a lot of bars and restaurants and prospect park and toms' restaurant which is excellent for breakfast. that'd be a fun place to take your boyfriend to.

Great suggestions- thank you! I've actually been to the Brooklyn museum, although never on a 1st Saturday and I frequent the park slope/prosepect heights area. Tom's Restaurant is THE BEST!! Don't you love how they serve you coffee/orange slices/cookies while you're waiting on line? I'm looking for some more relatively uknown activities too. Something that you can't find in guidbooks. Any suggestions?

I wonder if that little lady who hands out the snacks on line might notice if you kept going to the end of the line for more free food.
