The first laptop I've purchased with hard-earned money, the Blue M626 Laptop was the cheapest one which made use of a Core Duo Intel Processor and a DVD writer, the primary reason for which I chose this model. It cost me PHP 39,995.00 (USD 830.00), and I would have gotten a better deal had I not been so impatient that I purchased from a local shop instead of getting one from LaptopKing.com.ph where I could have gotten a higher version of the Core Duo Processor as well as 20 GB more memory for roughly the same price. Here are the specs: Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology Intel® Core™ Duo T2100 1.66GHz, 2Mb, 667MHz Intel® GMA 950—128Mb VRAM 512 MB DDR2 60 GB Memory DVD writer 14in. XGA / latchless design Intel® PRO Wireless LAN / 56Kb 3.1 kgs The laptop came in a matte silver color, with a disproportionately small and simple blue logo on the lid. The keyboard was easy to use, and the only difficulty encountered was in getting used to the placement of other keys, as well as the right and left buttons on each side of the touchpad, which were hard to press. The initial laptop I got had a problem as the RealTek Sound Manager kept on signaling that a jack was plugged/unplugged, even when nothing was attached to the laptop. I immediately returned it, and received a new laptop the following day. This laptop appeared light for its size, and came with a bag that could have been better-designed in terms of its style. Speed when multi-tasking was very rarely compromised and the unit rarely heated up, owing to the Core Duo Processor. The battery enabled me to watch movies for 3.5-4.5 hours straight when fully charged. This laptop is a great buy for its price, although inevitably better deals will be coming our way, as with the case of electronic products. I'm happy to say that I have not regretted this puchase (yet!) :D
