First time ever- Had to knock back a friend request

Never seen this before. I always check friend requests, and I only approve people I've read. Found a friend request, no posts, nothing on the profile but a photo of Mr. Bean, I have no idea what this guy's about. About as articulate as Mr. Bean, at this point. Left it for 24 hours, came back, there he still is, no posts, nothing. Request denied. The way I see it, if you're not participating, and I have no clues at all about whether you're a spam artist or anything else, no way. Anyone else had a ghost friend request like this?

Yep,accepted. I would have encouraged Mr. Bean, on principle, despite himself. But- didn't it occur to him that this is the big wide world, and anonymous non-contributors do have a certain lack of inspirational quality? The profile said the guy was from India, and wanted to lose 35 pounds. Not my idea of instant fascination. Score 10 points for coming from an interesting country, lose 10 points for a lazy profile, and add Mr. Bean's face.... no deal. I would assume that this weight loss wasn't to come from the single finger he'd need to type in a few responses.

I've seen this user. :P Although i haven't ever had a friend request like your example, although someone did ask to be my friend in one of my discussions and i put a the request in and it's still pending. (they've been on here every day and it's been pending for at least 3 days) I honest don't get why people ask, if they have no intention on reading the friends discussion or speak to them. Mind you i guess it's so they get responses, opps i've answered my own question. hehe =) Kudos ~Joey

This guy got on my nerves to the extent that I was thinking of leaving him there as a sort of ornament. Figured I could drive him at least nuts enough to post something about why people didn't respond to his requests. Aesthetically, though, Mr. Bean isn't much of a pinup.
