I know that many grooms want to put a budget on this one day, but wemon usually don't follow it. Did you have a budget and did you stick with it. What budget to you recommend. Please, also put your country/state. I'm thinking of just keeping with in 10k. is that reasonable, i live in texas.

We aren't married yet, but are getting married in Mexico in August. Our budget is $12000. Whether or not we'll stick to it we'll see. But since the resort is all inclusive I don't think we'll have a problem sticking to that budget.

i think it is depend on that party if the party should be festivity so you need to take more around $30k over but if the party is very simple the budget also cheap it is around $ 1K is enough ,It in my country Indonesia

I have not gotten married as of yet and I don't plan on getting married any time soon but I know that when I do get married that I will be spending alot of money on my wedding. I am going to have a huge wedding with 5 or more bridesmaids and 5 or more grooms men. It will be in my church and everybody I have ever know will be invited. I want ot have a fairytale wedding. My wedding will be more than $20,000.

We went to Nevada lol, I think the license was $50 and the ceremony was $50, our room was $100, my dress was also $100. I inherited a wedding ring and my husband spent $25 on his band at a pawn shop. It was a brief but sweet ceremony.

My weding cost me about $2500 Canadian. It was small, and it was perfect. I can't imagine the stress of those huge weddings. Not my thing at all.

Well we had a very small personal wedding of 10 people and spent about $500 on the entire thing...For our reception we just went out to Olive Garden..We don't believe in spending so much money on one day, but that is just us.. Congradulations :)

Oh my gals! My eyes just about bugged out of my head over the amount of money you have budgeted for your weddings! lol My dear husband and I spent around $1500 for our wedding, reception, and honeymoon. We paid for everything ourselves and just couldn't see spending the equivilent of a new car or down payment on a house on one day. Please don't think that we didn't think of it as an important day...we did. We just figured out how to cut corners and do things ourselves. We shopped carefully for everything. We had around a hundred guests and were married at a quiet lodge in front of a roaring fireplace while the snow fell outside. It was beautiful (and inexpensive!). We enlisted the help of our friends and family for things like the cake, photography and music. Now I'm not suggesting you follow a budget as small as ours but I hope you'll remember that you have a life to start and it's nice to have the money to do it! We are from Pa and I'm sure the costs here are less than they might be in Texas. In any case I hope you have a wonderful engagement, the wedding of your dreams, and that you'll keep us all posted on your journey through wedding planning! Congratulations!
