Recently my parents brought a cute pug home which I've not met yet because I stay far from my home. I'm visiting home this spring. Can you suggest a cute name for my cute pug?

My neighbor had a pug named Piglet. I thought that that was a cute name. I also like the name Bean for a pug. I think pugs kind of look like little beans. Enjoy your pug!

I saw some dogs on a television show last night that were pretty cute. They were not Pugs but they were somewhat similar breeds. One was a an English bulldog named Porky and the other I think was a Boston terrier named Petunia. You didn't say if your Pug was male or female but those are two cute male and female names.

Have you seen the dogs picture? If so try to match a name to that, do you have a favorite name? Something that appeals to you? You could also ask your parents some things he does find out about his personality and match the name up that way. example, I knew a couple who had dogs, they were Mets fans, there were two old time Met players, Rusty Staub and Tug McGraw. Well they got two dogs one was rust colored so he was named Rusty, and the other one day tried to tug a 3 pound bag of potatoes across the floor when he was just a puppy, so they named him Tug. As it turns out Tug did have a habit all his life of tugging things around. And as Rusty got older his rust patches were bigger. So both names fit the dogs. So ask your parents what the dog does etc and try to match the name to the things the dog does, or just pick a name you really like since the name is going to last. The sooner the dog has his name the better for the dog, because he will have to learn it. I wanted my niece to be in on naming a dog we had, by time my sister got around to showing her the picture etc, it was to late, I had referred to the dog as my new buddy, to the point that the dog learned buddy, and that is his name. So don't wait to long to name your new dog. He needs time to learn his name so the sooner your parents use it the better for the pup.
