Well I started GT4 a few days ago and found a good car for starters. First you need to make money, buy a car with that you can win the Beginner FF Challenge or the MH Challenge because the cars you win for getting Gold in all 5 Races can be sold for 8000 - 10000 Cr. Do this until you have 50.000 - 60.000, then go to the late 90's second hand car dealer and look for a Honda NSX with 280 HP/ PS. They should cost around 49.000 - 59.000. The NSX I bought was a Type S from 97 I think and it was even after buying without upgrading a superior car for the money. With that one you can compete a long time if you upgrade it good and learn to drive it well. I hope this helps you.

I think buying a very cheap car for around 5,000-7,500 and then winning the Rally d'Capri with it gets you the Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car. It's very quick and you can win a lot of races with it, but you can also sell it for 265,000 and have all the money you need for the beginning.

I finally got my Castrol MUGEN NSX but it's frustrating. After I got it I knewd why there is such an easy race with such a high prize: because the NSX isn't as half as good as in GT3. It costs 1.350.000 Cr. but I don't really think it's worth the prize. 500.000 max. but not 1.350.000. Now I'm a bit unmotivated to play anymore in GT4 because it's no fun anymore, I hardly got a damn RUF whatever (RUF = Porsche I think, don't know why the have another name in the game) beaten that wasn't even a racecar version with the racecar NSX, I was just like WTFH?!! That damn streetcar version thing was as fast in curves as the NSX the only difference was on strights but that's just stupid. I just hate the CPU rivals because the drive nearly perfect not only in GT4 but already in GT3 but not that extreme...

I agree in part, best car to begin with is the RX-7, once you've raised enough I went for the Nissan Skyline as well and modified that one as much as I could, the Nissan Fairlady Concept car was a great help, also once you have opened the Endurance and Extreme Events I would recomend winning the German Touring Cars section in the European series, giving you the Mercedes Super Tourer, use this to complete the Nurburgring 24hr race (on B-Spec mode) this will then award you the Formula Gran Turismo race car, that will decimate all that it enters

If you want to get money in the beggining buy used car ( Nissan 200SX, Mazda RX7 etc). In Special conditions you will easily win first rally. For win you will get Mitsubishi rally car worth about 200.000.
