I find it very hard to concentrate on a book at any time, and it will send me to sleep if I am in bed and pick up a book. I usually find for me a suduko puzzle will work, because my brain tires quickly through number crunching and once I've completed two puzzles I am ready to sleep, cures my insomnia.

I think itdepends from person to person because if you ask me personally , reading never brings sleep to me infact half of my reading job is done in night only. my hubby always says that if i wont sleep he will hide my books somewhere one day. i m very very fond of reading and writing.

I don't thing so. I really enjoyed the reading of books of my interest. Mostly I read the poetry books of my favorite poets (Urdu) before sleeping. It make me cool and fresh and I take nice sleep after reading the book.

Yeah, sometimes reading helps me get to sleep. Thankfully, I don't have trouble falling asleep for now.
