Why is it Still beta....

Hey i think that it has been a long time since Google Stepped into the e-mail industry with its state of the art New G-mail beta and am just wondering when will gmail move from the beta.... i think its already too long testing...

Gmail was released on April 1, 2004 as a by-invitation beta, and was opened to public Feburary 8, 2007. and still in beta, cos new features keep coming..
