Why Is It That Someone Will Start a Discussion And Reply To the Responses

I have replied to several discussions that I found interesting and then got no reply from the person who started the discussions. On some of them they would reply to the first few and then nothing to anyone elses. I have started a few and I have replied to every one who gave a response. If they found my discussion interesting enough to reply to I think I need to acknowledge their replies. Is this the way it usually is or am I expecting too much?

I will always reply to the good Responses sometimes it can take me a couple of Days but I do get there eventually and I will reply. I don't like it either when you put all the Effort in then you go back 4 or 5 Days later and you see that it has not even been acknowledged. I sometimes even go back again after a few Days and still nothing so I know there won't be an Acknowledgement there.

That is what I have found too and I get a little disappointed because some of the replies were really good. I can't imagine not saying something when someone has taken their time to read my discussion. Thanks for the response and I love you stuff I am going back and reading each one. I have only gotten through 2 or 3 so far, but I will read them all and reply.

This is something that worries me quite a bit i rate and read all my responses , I try to answer all the ones who have asked me a question and I usually answer quite a bit more than that . As time goes on I have more and more to answer Andi find it really hard to keep up , we are told in the rules we don't have to do that , I just feel its polite , I feel if I rate all of them that in a way I am saying thank you for taking the time to respond to my discussion . xx

My feelings exactly. Thank you for your input and well said. I think every one should at least have a small note from the one who started the discussion.

I don't think its such a bad thing, i try to reply to everyone that responds to my discussions but only if i have something valuable to add. I think responding just for the sake of responding isn't the right way to go. It does say in the guidelines in the don't s section *Don't Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings* The point is to post quality not quantity so i can understand why some people don't respond to every response they get as you would just end up repeating yourself.

I do thank you for your response and I understand a little more about it now. I have seen some of the discussions that have tons of replies and alot of them are similar, but I would still take my time to add a comment to let them know that I had read their reply even if I did repeat myself. I would probably reference the ones that were similar. Discussions need feedback and acknowledgement. Thanks
