Do you know charcoal painting?

I know pencil sketches and I want to switch to charcoal paintings. but I don't know any thing about it. I mean what kind of paper of pencils I sould use. Can you guide me?

You can buy charcoal sticks from any good art supplies shop. They are thin sticks of charcoal wood and are wonderful to work with. They can be a bit messy, you will get a lot of the charcoal dust on your fingers, but the effect is great. Hope this helps
