myLot earnings

I joined myLot a few days ago, respondend to a couple of discussions, and added some photos and comments. I earned a few cents. But I don't understand how much you earn for doing those things, and they don't tell you anywhere in the site. I read that there was something to do with your popularity and the discussion's name - or something like that. Could anyone tell me how does this work?
