Are there any CSI wannabe's out there besides me? Let's solve some real crimes.

I love watching movies, news, biographies, reading the same, about true life crimes going on. I hate to see them go unsolved. I want to start posting a True Life Crime story that has been in the news and see if some of us can post our own ideas about what really happened and who really did it. Anyone game? Let's get started with the following: 26-year-old George Smith's honeymoon turns into nightmare when he disappears from his honeymoon cruise on July 5, 2005. If you are familiar with this story, I'm interested in your ideas or theories about this. If you are not familiar, read up on it and then let the rest of us know what you think.

Actually this isn't from CSI at all. This really happened. George and his new bride were on a honeymoon cruise in July 2005. He disappeared and was never seen again. Blood was found in the room and on the balcony of his room. The bride had passed out somewhere else on the ship after a night of partying. You really need to go find out more about this one. Very interesting. The bride wound up settling out of court. That sounds a little fishy to me. Go to www.msnbc.com and read more about it. Then I want to hear your thoughts on this case.

what was the reason of RCCL if they cover up the evidence? if i was the wife why would i clean up/shower there will be evidence in me that needs to be found by the investigator so that i will be eliminated as a suspect. this is just for me: there was a party with some new friends in the ship. maybe the husband saw his wife gettin cozy with one of the passenger and got angry. it was clear bcoz of the blood stain that there was a fight. maybe it was an accident or they (wife and with some help) panicked and decided to throw the body of his husband out in the sea. then sue the cruise ship for money.

On one site it talks about two men who were seen in the bar with the couple. A video showed them basically as the last two with him as they were taped leaving the groom's room. There was a man in the room next to them that heard a noise and stepped out into the hall (he was a former police officer) and identified the same two men leaving the room. I hate to say it, but I really feel the wife and these two men had something to do with it. Then by the wife just settling out of court...sounds pretty convincing that she was somehow involved...

I love CSI and would love to be a detective although I wouldn't want to see some of the horrible things involved. A short time ago I worked 3rd shift with a girl and her and I were going to be private investigators - something to pass our time when we really just wanted to be sleeping. My current title is "mylot detective" I love figureing things out but afraid this week I am swamped and do not need something else to side track me from work I should be doing. This does sound like fun though :)

Well maybe the next one we discuss, you will have more time on your hands and can participate. I live on Court TV. I used to want to be a criminal psychologist just so I could understand some of these people.

I think he must have been drunk as well. He ran into some crew members who were annoyed by this annoying guy, they fight, and the crew members (probably 2) push him overboard. My mom is such a forensic fan. I almost wish I'd never introduced her to the CSI franchise back when it all started. We both are "Forensic Files", and "Dr. G: Medical Examiner" fans. Not to mention the show "Bones" which bases cases on real life cases of the woman the show is about.

Your mom and I would get along great. He was drunk too. But I don't think the two men were crew members.

This sounds like a case for the true CSI detectives, but like has already been said, it does sound mighty fishy that she would leave her new husband like that, and then agree to be paid off no matter what the amount. Most new brides would not settle like that.
