What makes a bully? I was waiting for the bus today and there was a guy (prolly early 20's) swearing up and down, belittling and mocking another guy. If I didn't feel so crummy (and worry about getting hurt lol) I would have asked him if he felt like more of a man picking on this other dude...
We all know that girls are much more catty then boys (boys slug it out and its done, with girls it lasts much longer)...how do you deal with this? I felt so bad for the other dude (the one being picked on)

I think all bullies are cowards. But sometimes, they are so loud and rude that it's frightening and they are hard to not be afraid of which I guess is what they are after. As far as girls being catty, I have to say that I've come across some pretty catty boys. They just call them sneaky or something. For some reason catty is not an adjective ever used to describe boys but that's what some of them are.

If you will observe a bully, you will notice that he/she would bully someone who seems to be weaker or smaller. This is because the bully has inner conflicts that he/she couldn't resolve. This conflict within one's self leads him/her to avenge said discontent and unhappiness towards someone -- one who is easier to manipulate and rule over, one who would seem to fall prey to the manipulations. This gives the bully gratification, because he/she has finally found an outlet for his unresolved conflicts. I usually just avoid bullies, or just get as far away from them as possible because they intend to hurt, and there's no way to make them see reason. They have psychological issues so it's difficult to deal with them.

bullies are people who have agressive behavior, most of them have problems in their individual homes where they cope up lack of attention through hurting others (based on my experience). I have a little experience with these bullies for i just evade them, thus, escaping trouble.

How do I deal with seeing bullies?
Well it depends on weather or not I get the picture fully. I seriously hate bullies and anyone who picks on weaker people, I've people get started on for no reason and I normally see read. I react differently each time, sometimes I think better of it and ignore it or I'll go and help and try and split it up. (without getting to involved) or sometimes when it's groups the anger/violent side comes out. (or if I see someone being half killed)
I feel bad for those who get bullied to. I've only ever been called names so I don't know what this is exactly like. However I have had idiots come up to me and try to start something, normally they don't get a chance to say more than two words as I easily lash out at these types. (I'm not really ashamed to admit this, as I'm a gentle person with angry side) - never comes out unless in the above situations though, neither do I bully people. i just stand up for myself and those I love (or need help).
Kudos
