I know that many people have different phobias in life. My husband and I are layed back people and don't really have any phobias but we were talking to his sister today and she has a huge germ phobia. What is your or your spouses phobia?

I've always been a germaphobe. Probably not a true "phobia" but I'm really awful about germs. It really bothers my husband but he tries to be understanding. I'm trying to get better. My other fear is fear of flying which I am also working on. I have always been afraid of flying but I used to do it often anyhow. I was in a relationship that turned long distance a couple years into it so I dealt with my fear so that we could see each other more easily. I would pretty much put my head between my legs and pray for my life the whole time. My stomach would be a wreck, it was pretty bad. Then after September 11th I just could not fly anymore. Even when dh was stationed accross the country for 5 months I did not fly out to see him or fly out for his ship's homecoming. He did visit us often but it would have been fun to go visit him. Now, my sister moved to the opposite side of the country and I have purchased plane tickets to see her in less than 2 weeks. I realized I don't want to live my life like this without using air travel to the detriment of seeing the people I love. She is my best friend and her children are my son's best friends. Also we had baby boys just 8 days part and they haven't seen each other since they were newborns (they are over a year now). I want them to know each other. Anyway, here is a website that I found helpful for dealing with my fear of flying: http://www.fearofflyinghelp.com/

People who have this phobia should not be members of myLot--- Allodoxaphobia: fear of opinions. This is common in extreme fundamentalist groups where free-thinking can be dangerous to their rigid belief-structure.

My biggest phobia HAS to be spiders. And I know that is a common one amoung people. After that, I am terrified of heights. As for my husband, he shares my arachniphobia...but I think thats it.

Well I fear large bodies of water, I never venture to play on a beach , there I sit quietly and see the waves coming, the way people play with the coming waves I fear that they will drown.
