What do you think about this new hpv shot for girls?

I feel that getting a shot to prevent any kind of cancer is really a discussion between the girl and her parents. It's not something you can spread by mouth or touching someone if you have it. They have made it manditory here in Texas for all girls going into the 6th grade.I don't think it right.It may be helpfull but so are many other things that people don't do. What about you?How do you feel about it?

I don't think they should require any kind of shot that hasn't been tested long term. Noone knows if the shot has any long-term side effects.

I think the shot is good as a precautionary. Personally, I got the shots in high school and it made me feel better that it could help prevent cancer. As far as if it really works, I'm not sure, but I'd like to hope it would!
