... for your child's birthday party?
There is nothing more annoying to me than my children bringing a birthday invitation home from school for a party is for the day after tomorrow.
I always make sure my kids invites go out at least a week before the party. It gives broke people like me a chance to scrounge up a couple of bucks for a birthday present.

It is quite rude to give such short notice I would agree! I would have thought at least a week if not more! I suppose sometimes though invitations might be left in kiddies desks for a couple of days until they remember to bring it home with them! My daughter used to be terrible at remembering stuff like that (More than once I've had to rush to the 24 hour shop late at night!)

I agree with you. I think that a week is a good amount of time to give the parents to go out and get a gift. Everyone is so busy nowdays 1 or 2 days is just not enough time.

Yes that is not nice to send invite home just a couple days away. Makes it hard for a working person to get something for the child. I always gave at least a weeks notice for birthday party. Can't expect people to come if do it at the last minute.
