Tom Hanks is one of the best movie actors around. Which are your fave films he's made? I like anything with him in but I think Forrest Gump is one of the best.

I agree too, Forrest Gump has got to be his best movie yet. I think it was more because of the type of character Hanks put into Gump. Forrest Gump was beloved by the masses when he first appeared on the big screen. I know no one who hates Forrest Gump.

I agree with all of you: there are lots and lots of great Tom Hanks Movies. the one that has brought me most joy and laughter is "The Burbs". I do not know many people that has seen this movie. It's my all time favorite comedy. there are so much going on in all the shots - things happen in the background all the time. The characters are so great! I just love the way Ray/Tom throws himself into the ambulance after beeing blown up! I love the way Hans drives the garbage out to the bin and beats the crap out of it. I love the way Ray/Tom is eating pretzels and sardines, while his friend rips their neighbours wallpaper off the wall. If you have not seen this movie, and you love comedy and Tom Hanks, you should really see this one!

I really liked Castaway. I felt so sad when he lost Wilson. ANd the irony when he was rescued and there was all that seafood at his welcome home party, lol. How insensitive! Oh, and when he was playing with the lighter!! The one that surprised me was The DaVinci Code. After reading the book, I really couldn't picture him in the role. But once again, he pulled it off. Forrest Gump is definately a classic! I watch that one every time it's on tv, and I own the movie, too. It had parts to make you laugh, and definately parts that made you cry.

I like Apollo 13 and also Castaway. I'm always interested in films where the hero gets into almost impossible situations and has to struggle to stay alive, overcome all odds, and comes out in the end.

I'm not really a huge Tom Hanks fan, but I do think he was great in 'The Green Mile'. It's one of my favourite films, and I can't imagine anyone else playing his role. I think he's a good actor, but he doesn't really feature in the films I like (I'm more into asian horror/arthouse films).

If you're ever in Maui, Hawaii, be sure to eat at Bubba Gump's Restaurant. I recommend the "bucket 'o trash". The waiters also ask you trivia questions about the movie when they take your order. Actually, I don't know if it was the food so much as the surf roaring in and the great weather! Anyway, the place had great atmosphere.

i am a tom hanks fan. i like most of his movies. to name some are saving private ryan. he did well in this movie as a leader of a group of soldiers looking for ryan. i love him in the terminal where he portrayed someone who had a hard time understand people around the airport and being understood. the story is really great. the movie catch me if you can with leonardo di caprio is great, too. tom hanks play as a detective in search for di caprio who is in FBI's wanted list for years. i can go on and on. but i think the space isn't enough for me. haha!

I happen to love Forrest Gump. He is such an amazing actor to play the part of a mentally/physically challanged person it just amazes me.

BIG still rates up there as one of my favorites, and Bachelor Party - very funny. Saving Private Ryan (wait, was he in that, or did he just direct it?) Apollo 13, the Green Mile adn Castaway are some other favorites of mine. But nothing beats BIG.

i love tom hank's green mile and cast away. both movies have that sensitivity and sensuality in human lives and events. the green mile tells a lot about prejudice, courage, honesty, humility and responsibility. the events and characters in the movie are unpredictable and emphasizes misjudgement even from the its characters, the way the movie is shown from scene to scene up until the way it ended. cast away on the other hand is a masterpiece of presenting human nature on the verge of struggle and survival. one will be moved both in heart and mind while watching any of them.

I loved him in Cast away. Anyone that can carry almost a whole movie off by himself with a volley ball is a really good actor, he is one of my fav. I have never seen a movie where he wasn't great. I loved one of his first movies "Big" also he was adorable in this one oh yeah and Turner and Hootch. i better stop or my list will get to long. Any way LOVE HIM!
