How many of you like to be criticised? Means who do you feel when someone close to you critise you? I feel it is really hurts when some one directly criticises you in front of others. Do you feel that if someone criticises you, he is best judge of that situation, matter or issue? How do you differniate between health criticism or otherwise?

Obviously none of us like to be criticised, although I never take it to heart or allow it to anger me.

@dpk262006 I realise the age of the post. I sometimes scroll through the older ones when it is quiet because there are some worthwhile posts to be found that way.

@Asylum - I am really thankful to you for visiting my old posts . Another one you commented upon relates to 'reading newspapers'. Your responses gave me an opportunity to read my old posts and responses thereon. Your responses to my old posts took me back to memory lane and made me nostalgic about those mylotters, who used to respond to my posts during that period. Sadly none of them is active now.

You are very mature that you do not take it to your heart. Thanks for touching this post because this is a very old post (2007).

I don't like criticism & to be critisized in general matters...!If its regarding work matters its ok, that's help us to improve. As a women I experience this many times, its normal tendancy of women to criticize other women, that to in the matters which r not leading us to improvement(I'm not saying mens don't have). I too feel it hurts when some one directly criticises you in front of others, critisizer should kept awareness of place n the situation around, otherwise it will just get turn into teasing.

If you can learn to take criticism as information, and not personal. it will be a lot better. and the way you do that is listen, stop think, ask for clarification. stop think some more. When I say think no of excuses or reasons why or any of that. when I say think, Think what is this person trying to tell me, Is this information that I can use in improving my self. This is called thinking with your head, If the first thought in your mind is NO that is not right, you are out right rejecting any thing that person is trying to tell you. So if some one comes up to you and says Why are you always late? Stop.(is he right) Think maybe I am late a bit. so ask for clarification. Am I always late or is it just today? Think then say Thank you for that information. I will be more prompt in the future. You both win or it could have gone Why are you always late? heart answer What is it your business. you are not my boss. get lost. . So you have a choice when it comes to criticism, and how you deal with it.

Sometimes your friends close to you will criticize you not because they hate you, but because they care about you. You might have to much pride in your self and you don't even realise it, So criticizing you helps you in a way and in a way makes you a better person (Gentlemen)
