Why is it that people with underarm odors always the last to know?

Is it because their noses are immuned to the smell?
Do you know of someone who has it and know nothing about it until you bring it to his attention. (the use of "his" is deliberate, I didn't include the "her" because I have yet to see a woman with BO). There maybe some out there, I don't know.

There are some medical conditions that cause body odor that some have no control over - even with many showers a day and potent deodorent. The medical condition itself can cause it or the medication used to treat it. Women can suffer from this condition as well. Although I've never encountered this in a female.
For me, I notice body odor the most in taxi drivers who eat a lot of spicy food and it seems to come out in sweat. For most body odor problems I would suggest a detoxifying diet.
There are some who choose not to use deodorants/antiperspirants because of the high aluminum count which is thought to contribute to Alzheimer's. Its contained in these products in high amounts and some want to avoid it.
It is frustrating and nauseating at times to be around. Its hard to keep a pleasant face and focus on the conversation at hand.
