For me, it made my work easier, and my bad handwriting was overcome by the word processors :) How about you?

It's easier to answer how it doesn't.. LOL. First there are two aspects to the computer. There is the computer itself and there is the Internet. The computer itself is my livelihood. It's how I make a living. I have learned to master all software at companies I work for, how to fix and troubleshoot both software and hardware and utilize a computer to it's fullest capabilities and the company's needs. I type faster than I could ever write, and reports are a breeze using a computer. Work comes out neat and tidy from typing and pictures are beautiful, so I can share them with everyone. Internet also affects my every day. Simple things like directions to go new places and explore, or find phone numbers, or lists of items at certain places so I don't waste time. It keeps me in touch with family that is long distance that I otherwise wouldn't have contact with or know. It helped me find my father when he lived in Costa Rica for five years, it helped me locate my brother while he was serviced in Iraq and it helps me stay in touch with friends while making new ones from all over the world. I am able to research different parenting techniques and talk to other parents about how they got through certain issues to help me in my own parenting. I sell things on ebay to help supplement my income, and wow does this help a lot! I also buy a few things here and there on ebay. Three pairs of shorts for 5.99 (and that includes the shipping) Heck, I'm there! LOL To me a computer with internet is a necessity. I am not sure how I'd function without it. Everything from my letter to my landlord to letter of resignation to my work is done on my computer, my banking, charting where my money goes, everything is done through my computer. I love my computer. I spend more time on a computer (combing work and at home) than I do any other thing in my life. Fortunately I do spend more time with my family during the summer swimming and stuff, but in the winter you will find me mostly on the computer. happy mylot day.

I can see your attachment to computers. Lots of disasters could be met if all of a sudden, all computers wouldn't work at the same time. LOL!!!

An advantage and disadvantage as well, i think. For computers, when used differently, may do harm to mankind as well.

Computer has helped me to earn a living, due to certain things I had to quit my job working full time, so now I am able to do something and earn doing work on the computer, so the computer is a blessing is disguise, I always thank God that he provided me many opportunities to work from home with the help of a computer, so it has helped me a lot.

Computer was a blessing to me lol! It really made me feel that my husband is a call and email away. Before when he was onboard for 9 months the only means of communication we have was letter and it tooks weeks or worst even months to receive it. Lucky that he was assigned to a production tanker that it was anchor on a certain location that can be access by internet and that was the good part that every night we have the chance to talk for longer hours after his duty thru yahoo messenger and that made me really feel that he was just here in our house because his voice can be heard by our little boy and makes me really feel our love keeps getting stronger as we have communication everyday. Additional benefit of computer to me is that it enhances my ability in video editing I can say I can have a photography studio of my own now lol! all special event that was recorded in our mini-dv videocam can be edited to my heart desire and transfer to dvd or vcd and also I can take thousands of pictures no need to purchase a film or run to kodak to develop it because I can edit our picture and print anytime I want. Oh and last it gave me additional earning because of myLot. Wheew! there are so many wonders computer made to me but my finger sore now! have to submit this response lol!

The birth of computers made life easier for everybody. From the fact that you need not have liquid paper for typo errors--(just need the backspace key) to the leisure of watching movies and researching with the aid of internet. I could not imagine what would life be without computers. I think it will be tantamount to having no electricity which will really make me go nuts. LOL!!!!

I have to say that right now it has made my life a lot easier. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom and it gets lonely. Through the use of the computer/Internet, I have been able to meet and converse with some very interesting people and learned some very interesting things in the process.
